गुड Friday
The Friday before Easter is the most solemn day for Christians - it is the day on which Jesus Christ died on the cross. This day is known as Good Friday, Holy Friday, Great Friday or Black Friday. As such, Good Friday is a day of mourning, and all the ceremonies and rituals of the day are centered on the feeling of sorrow, at the pain and humiliation that Jesus underwent for the cause of goodness and humanity. The message of Good Friday is that the dictum of "an eye for an eye" cannot work. The way to conquer evil is through good. Similarly, violence can be overcome only by non-violence and hatred by love.

World AIDS Day, observed December 1 each year, is dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection. It is common to hold memorials to honor persons who have died from HIV/AIDS on this day. Government and health officials also observe the event, often with speeches or forums on the AIDS topics. Since 1995, the President of the United States has made an official proclamation on World AIDS Day. Governments of other nations have followed suit and issued similar announcements.
AIDS has killed more than 25 million people between 1981 and 2007, and an estimated 33 million people worldwide live with HIV as of 2007, making it one of the most destructive epidemics in recorded history. Despite recent, improved access to antiretroviral treatment and care in many regions of the world, the AIDS epidemic claimed an estimated 2 million lives in 2007, of which about 270,000 were children.
World AIDS Day at the World Health Organization was the brainchild of Jonathan Mann, director of the Global Programme on AIDS and personal AIDS proponant (GPA) at the World Health Organization (WHO). The concept of a World AIDS Day was supported at the 1988 World Summit of Ministers of Health on Programmes for AIDS Prevention and by the Fourth International AIDS Conference in 1988. WHO declared December 1, 1988 as the first World AIDS Day. The United Nations General Assembly formally recognized the event in October 1988. Since then, the event has been taken up by governments, international organizations and charities around the world.
The Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) became operational in 1996, and it took over the planning and promotion of World AIDS Day. Rather than focus on a single day, UNAIDS created the World AIDS Campaign in 1997 to focus on year-round communications, prevention and education.
In its first two years, the theme of World AIDS Day focused on children and young people. These themes were strongly criticized at the time for ignoring the fact that people of all ages may become infected with HIV and suffer from AIDS. But the themes drew attention to the HIV/AIDS epidemic, helped alleviate some of the stigma surrounding the disease, and helped boost recognition of the problem as a family disease.
In 2004, the World AIDS Campaign became an independent organization.
From its inception until 2004, UNAIDS spearheaded the World AIDS Day campaign, choosing annual themes in consultation with other global health organizations.
As of 2008, each year's World AIDS Day theme is chosen by the World AIDS Campaign's Global Steering Committee after extensive consultation with people, organizations and government agencies involved in the prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS. For each World AIDS Day from 2005 through 2010, the theme will be "Stop AIDS. Keep the Promise.", with a yearly sub-theme.[5] This overarching theme is designed to encourage political leaders to keep their commitment to achieve universal access to HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, care, and support by the year 2010.
This theme is not specific to World AIDS Day, but is used year-round in WAC's efforts to highlight HIV/AIDS awareness within the context of other major global events including the G8 Summit. World AIDS Campaign also conducts "in-country" campaigns throughout the world, like the Student Stop AIDS Campaign, an infection-awareness campaign targeting young people throughout the UK.

The Full Moon Day or 15th Purnima day of the Shukla paksha (waxing moon) of the Kartika month is considered very auspicious. The full Moon is usually in Taurus and therefore exalted. At times this festival can take place with the full Moon in Aries- but it represents a strong and auspicious Moon. Usually this is the full Moon in the month of November. It has many names including the Diwali of the Gods and Tripuri Purnima. This day marks the victory of Lord Shiva over the demons Tripuri. The Kartik Purnima festival also coincides with the Jain light festival and Guru Nanak's Birthday.
Tripuri Purnima is one of the most propitious day for worshipping of Shiva, next only to the Maha Shivaratri. According to Mahabharata there were three sons born to the demon Taraka. Taraka was killed by Kartikeya (Mars). Taraka’s sons were called Taraksha, Kamalaksha and Vidyunmali. Demons in Vedic philosophy are very intelligent and strong but they tend to use their knowledge and strength towards the wrong means. These demon sons of Taraka had performed severe penance towards Brahma and won the gift of immense power. Brahma is the creator, The boon that they received, granted them that they would live for a thousand years in three invincible, moving cities known as Tripuri and that they could only be destroyed by one arrow that would merge the three cities into one, and set them to fire. Tri means three and Puri means cities. Tripuri were resplendent, made up of gold, silver and iron respectively. They were built to rival Indra’s grand city. As such powerful demons, the Tripura spent all their time and energy to harass the gods. The power was such that it was difficult to control their destructive tendencies. Their cities never remained in one place long enough therefore it was difficult to destroy them together.
At the end of a thousand years of their negative rule, the gods went to Rudra (Shiva) and asked him to destroy the demon. Rudra had to seek the help of Brahma and the other gods in this task. He danced Tandava, his dance of destruction. He rocked the three cities with his dance (The Tandava of Shiva is said to be like an earthquake); his arrow pierce through the three demons at one time and the fire from his third eye burnt the three cities.
In commemoration of burning and destroying the demons and their cities, this event, which occurred on Kartik Purnima day, is observed annually. While Diwali is the Rama’s (God in a human form) triumph over the demon, Dev Diwali celebrates the Global fight against eveil forces that disturb the harmony of the universe and saving of the whole universe from the destructive intention of those with negative gaendas. While Brahma can create, how people use their creation is up to them. It is Shiva who can save the world when the creation goes wrong. This form of Shiva is known as Tripurantaka for killing the three demon princes and destroying their evil cities.
It is believed that annually on the day of Kartik purnima, the gods descend on earth and reside in the sacred rivers. Ganges and other sacred rivers have elaborate ceremonies on this day. Devotees who bathe in the sacred rivers on these days can also get rid of their negative poisons and receive the blessings from all the Gods of the India.
To celebrate this day we can also cleanse our inner selves. To bathe our mind in the spiritual waters even if we do not live near sacred rivers. Allow the spiritual light to burn away all the questionable traits within. It is not the show of cleaning the outer selves but to rid of our mind and life of its wrong qualities like fear, greed, envy, anger, arrogance and wrong desires and replacing those with forces of love, compassion, generosity, kindness, and light.

What would you do?....you make the choice. Don't look for a punch line, there isn't one. Read it anyway. My question is: Would you have made the same choice?
At a fundraising dinner for a school that serves learning-disabled children, the father of one of the students delivered a speech that would never be forgotten by all who attended. After extolling the school and its dedicated staff, he offered a question: "When not interfered with by outside influences, everything nature does is done with perfection. Yet my son, Shay, cannot learn things as other children do. He cannot understand things as other children do. Where is the natural order of things in my son?"
The audience was stilled by the query.
The father continued. "I believe, that when a child like Shay, physically and mentally handicapped comes into the world, an opportunity to realize true human nature presents itself, and it comes in the way other people treat that child."
Then he told the following story:
Shay and his father had walked past a park where some boys Shay knew were playing baseball. Shay asked, "Do you think they'll let me play?" Shay's father knew that most of the boys would not want someone like Shay on their team, but the father also understood that if his son were allowed to play, it would give him a much-needed sense of belonging and some confidence to be accepted by others in spite of his handicaps.
Shay's father approached one of the boys on the field and asked (not expecting much) if Shay could play. The boy looked around for guidance and said, "We're losing by six runs and the game is in the eighth inning. I guess he can be on our team and we'll try to put him in to bat in the ninth inning."
Shay struggled over to the team's bench and, with a broad smile, put on a team shirt. His Father watched with a small tear in his eye and warmth in his heart. The boys saw the father's joy at his son being accepted. In the bottom of the eighth inning, Shay's team scored a few runs but was still behind by three. In the top of the ninth inning, Shay put on a glove and played in the right field. Even though no hits came his way, he was obviously ecstatic just to be in the game and on the field, grinning from ear to ear as his father waved to him from the stands. In the bottom of the ninth inning, Shay's team scored again. Now, with two outs and the bases loaded, the potential winning run was on base and Shay was scheduled to be next at bat.
At this juncture, do they let Shay bat and give away their chance to win the game? Surprisingly, Shay was given the bat. Everyone knew that a hit was all but impossible because Shay didn't even know how to hold the bat properly, much less connect with the ball.
However, as Shay stepped up to the plate, the pitcher, recognizing that the other team was putting winning aside for this moment in Shay's life, moved in a few steps to lob the ball in softly so Shay could at least make contact. The first pitch came and Shay swung clumsily and missed. The pitcher again took a few steps forward to toss the ball softly towards Shay. As the pitch came in, Shay swung at the ball and hit a slow ground ball right back to the pitcher.
The game would now be over. The pitcher picked up the soft grounder and could have easily thrown the ball to the first baseman. Shay would have been out and that would have been the end of the game.
Instead, the pitcher threw the ball right over the first baseman's head, out of reach of all team mates. Everyone from the stands and both teams started yelling, "Shay, run to first! Run to first!" Never in his life had Shay ever run that far, but he made it to first base. He scampered down the baseline, wide-eyed and startled.
Everyone yelled, "Run to second, run to second!" Catching his breath, Shay awkwardly ran towards second, gleaming and struggling to make it to the base. By the time Shay rounded towards second base, the right fielder had the ball ... the smallest guy on their team who now had his first chance to be the hero for his team. He could have thrown the ball to the second-baseman for the tag, but he understood the pitcher's intentions so he, too, intentionally threw the ball high and far over the third-baseman's head. Shay ran toward third base deliriously as the runners ahead of him circled the bases toward home.
All were screaming, "Shay, Shay, Shay, all the Way Shay"
Shay reached third base because the opposing shortstop ran to help him by turning him in the direction of third base, and shouted, "Run to third! Shay, run to third!"
As Shay rounded third, the boys from both teams, and the spectators, were on their feet screaming, "Shay, run home! Run home!" Shay ran to home, stepped on the plate, and was cheered as the hero who hit the grand slam and won the game for his team.
"That day", said the father softly with tears now rolling down his face, "the boys from both teams helped bring a piece of true love and humanity into this world".
Shay didn't make it to another summer. He died that winter, having never forgotten being the hero and making his father so happy, and coming home and seeing his Mother tearfully embrace her little hero of the day!

बेऔतिफुल girl
This flower caught my eyes.
May be it was the fresh scent, may be it was the bold display of colours, it’s radiance.. something.. it made me turn.
I couldn’t see it very well in crowd but couldn’t take my eyes of it. There was a strange force drawing me towards it.
I decided to step towards it.
As I went near, an amazing thing happened. It began to change!
In a moment it was a smiling torch.
I blinked over and over again…
It was then surrounded by ferocious tigeresses. It’s eyes were glittering!
I rubbed my eyes. It suddenly disappeared…
Then suddenly some time later flower transfigured into an angel.
Just as I was thinking of drawing my sengal out, it changed again.. into the beautiful flower.
Mustering all the courage that I had, with a hand holding tightly on the sengal, I went closer, initially at a slower pace during interval and later at good pace after the movie.
It did not change.
I went closer and closer.
No change.
I was now almost at a touching distance.
I went closer and thought f having a chat..
It wasn’t there anymore !
In front of me suddenly the ferocious tigeresses popped up…
Unfortunately I couldn’t use any pop up blocker there…
My friends pulled me out of it and we went in 6wheeler and the flower along with those tigers went in 3wheeler…
Flower refers to the Girl in green chudidhar who came to Gopi krishna hall yesterday.
Tiger’s refers to her mother and some anonymous lady.
Sengal refers to Nokia 6600…
Update:one day, green leaves will fade away,
faded leaves will fall away, fallen leaves will be thrown away,
but green flower will never fade from my memory…

Am in outright forlornness… This is possibly true but probably false…

But…………..
The atmosphere is so desolate; it’s like she is omnipresent, which is possibly true but probably false. And when she turned into superior version of “Chapel of Love” in my second life and left me in dilemma in my real life. Her quiet posture stunned me and my heart broke out when she turned her back. I became the “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,” with appy fizz in my hand. She turned discourteous and I was in melancholy and in an anguished “Delta Dawn,”. She pulls off from second life as well as from real life. A few contemporary vocalists played neo-tonal or neo-Romantic music and tried to pull off the bleakness of “kisses & hugs” or the forlornness of “Am I Blue?” with such genuine shades of feelings inside me; the vocalists were not loud enough to pull off the bleakness. Perhaps she is an accomplished actress in second life as well in real life, my emotions always ring true.
The world “not as static, fixed forms of reality but as floating pictures of radiant qualities, which range from states of forlornness and emptiness to quiet or ecstatic joy.
I hide my tears when I say her name but the pain in my heart still the same, although I smile and seem free, there is no one who misses her more than me.

I’ve been blessed with a LOT of free time and I’ve been thinking and thinking and I now realise something I’ve know all along, that my life lacks any sense of direction. I fell sick and I realised almost nobody in this world missed me, I realise that if I were to die this instant nobody will notice, life will just be the same for almost all the ppl I know. I realise one’s life should be measured by the number of people he touches, he influences, he cares about, the number of people who would notice immediately that he’s gone and as I lie alone in my bed Annie Hall comes to mind and Woody Allen’s Quote rings in my ears…
“I feel that life is divided into the horrible and the miserable. That’s the two categories. The horrible are like, I don’t know, terminal cases, you know, and blind people, crippled. I don’t know how they get through life. It’s amazing to me. And the miserable is everyone else. So you should be thankful that you’re miserable, because that’s very lucky, to be miserable.”
Indeed how fortunate most of us are to be miserable…
I toss and turn in my bed, with nothing else but my silly computer for company coz you know after a few hours the internet, movies, music everything sorta start messing with your head and you get so bored you wanna shout but you can’t…
I close my eyes in disgust, think What’s the purpose? What’s the reason for living? What’s the reson for Consciousness? What’s the reason for pain? What’s the reason for The Universe ? What’s the reason for everything? I guess I just have to forget these questions and continue with my sorry little life. Maybe as Agent Smith in The Matrix says There is no purpose to life but I know he’s the bad guy and his views are wrong but why are we able to accept our lives when nothing truly ever matters?
In the end I guess all that matters is you are happy btu when you start losing the only thing that makes you happy what do you do?
I goto my terrace, lie down, look up to the stars, start spotting some constellations, some planets and i realise how truly insignificant I am. How meaningless my problems my fears my pains are… I see the beautiful night sky and I’m happy for all the ppl who are happy at that moment, I’m hopeful for all the ppl who are broken,down and sad. In the dark cool night illuminated by the stars I realise even though I may mean nothing to ppl there are some personal pleasures worth living for..
As I kick the football by myself with not a soul around I realise somthing that sums up my entire life till now, I think about how few people I’ve managed to keep hold of, how few I’ve influenced…

During love, we are attached with a particular person, while in friendship, one may have many friends. A loving relationship makes one so much attached to the other, that one gets pained if his/her beloved is hurt! Love also involves a physical element. Friendship does not have that. This is a vital difference. Nature gives us love so that the specie can go forward. Nature does not give us friendship.
Your heart beats will never increase in anticipation of meeting your friend. You will not lie awake at night thinking about your friend. You will not feel totally lost, if you don’t meet your friend for a few days. You will not have dreams in your eyes thinking about your friend. But in love, you will do all this and much more.
